While browsing a Kapiti fabric store, a colourful fleece popped out to me. Such a fun material, I was inspired to make something fun for my two grandchildren, age 3 years and age 4 months. I ended up making two car seat blankets which were an instant hit, and they soon treated their blankets as toys and comforters. (I still remember the joy I felt watching the first impromptu game of "peek-a-boo".) A year later, I made a blanket for my expectant niece, and I was delighted by her positive reaction. By the time I made the next blanket for a lovely friend and first time Mum, I started to think I should make these for other people to enjoy. So with the help of my own lovely whānau, I'm able to offer you your own blanket or the opportunity to gift a blanket for a special baby/toddler in your life.
